Update: Goodbyes, Hardware, & India
For those of you who don’t know, our team returned to the States in January. They were such a blessing to us and God did wonders in their lives. It was hard to say goodbye as each of them left, but that’s part of this life. Good friends you don’t get to see often. It’s our blessing to have spent the last five months with these guys. The world is lucky to have them.

After the team left, Darlene and I (Dustan) bolted ourselves down to complete all of the first of the year administration stuff required for any ministry and to finish our videos. We are in heavy preparation for another year of ministry. This year includes 2 months in Ghana, 2 months in India, Indonesia, Nepal (perhaps) and the USA. Please pray for us this week. We are at a vital point in Revolutionary Life where we have the opportunity to do more than we ever have for the Kingdom of God. God has given us some major goals this year and we are busy (by His grace) working towards them. Our budget for 2011 is $60,000, and with small amount we will be able to establish three or four mission bases. We are also almost ready to announce where we will be planting our USA training base once our four bases are setup in Asia and West Africa. Just think country, that’s all I’m saying.
Our next stop is India. The scheduled arrival dates for India are late February to Mid March. There we will begin the groundwork to establish a base of operations for future outreach and training. We will be working in the South mainly. Our goal is a RLI base that performs and trains in Gospel outreach. We can’t wait. Until India however, we’ve been here at the first ever RLI base in Thailand (Thank you Partners!). We’ve got this place setup, and during the days it’s video editing and ministry preparation. We’re making great progress on our videos, but the other day we ran into yet another hardware issue.
We’ve been editing a full HD TV program on two Macbook Pros and one external Hard Drive. For those who know little about computers, it is insane to work with such limited hardware. lol We have been, are are still, in need of a Mac Pro Final Cut Editing system with Fibre networking capabilities that we can double as a server. Also, since tapes are getting more and more hard to find, we are working hard to change our Camera to a Canon 550d. It is tapeless, has good audio with an external mic, and the video is superb. Our Camera still works great and is still worth around $1500, so if you know anyone interested, we are willing to sale it to get the new equipment.
Please Pray for:
- safe trip to India,
- for solid plans to come together concerning the India base,
- that God would speak to more people to partner with Revolutionary Life,
- that we can finish these videos before we go to India,
- that we have no more hardware issues,
- and that the plans for the base here will continue to be established.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Exciting things are happening! Praise God! Blessings in the name of Jesus, and keep…
living the Revolutionary Life,
Dustan
