Update from Laos

Dear Revolutionaries,
Dustan here. Just wanted to write you quickly and update you on our current situation in La-os. Forgive the typos as I am in an internet cafe and in a bit of a rush.
We arrived in our current town almost five days ago. Our goal was to be in and out in one day, but the roads (as is often the case here) are washed out because of the rainy season. It took us two days to find alternate transportation. Then, we ran into another problem.

The day before we were scheduled to leave, Nick, a team member, had a sudden onset of fever. We prayed, it broke, but the next day it returned. This caused us to have to cancel our departure. The next day the fever remained, so we took Nick to the Doctor. Our rule is on day three of high fever (unless it hits 104) it’s doctor time. Turns out Nick has Typhoid fever. This put him down for another five days at minimum. Yet another tactic of the enemy.

The devil is working double time to slow us down and stop the Gospel from going forth. But, NO weapon formed against us shall prosper. The tough thing about having a team is that when one hurts, we all hurt. But the strength is that when one is down the others can carry on with the mission at hand.
Therefore, we are re-planning our mission in this part of the world. Four of us are planning on making the long journey through the mountains to our next stop, while two others stay and care for Nick. This MAY involve two motorbikes and a sore backside after 6-7 hours of rough terrain each way. But, hey; This is the Great Commission. Comfort means nothing.

Please pray for us as we plan and put this plan into motion. Also, I’d like to encourage you through our situation. Never let comfort or the devil stop you from going forward with the Great Commission. Whatever God last told you to do, do it with everything, come hell or high water (Isa. 43:2). Just keep going. Never quit. Never surrender. This is the heart of a revolutionary and my friends you are revolutionaries.

All In for the Gospel! Until then, we continue…
