The Next Journey Begins

So, we boarded the plane in Los Angeles and when I woke I was in China. We are now officially on our next mission. By this time tomorrow we will be at our Thai Base in Chiang Mai – probably moaning from jet lag.

Greeting my dear old friend, Jetlag (in Shanghai). And yes, I shaved... on accident. :-)

Our time in the USA was a blessed on for sure. New friends, a new TV show, new partners, new vision. Truly it was a time of stretching out our tent pegs. But now, it’s over and we’re back on the road. This is what all the tent expanding is for – so we can do more in the expansion of the Kingdom of God. We need partners so we can accomplish the bigger picture. We want to preach to thousands more than we ever have, train hundreds (this year) of new laborers in God’s harvest field. We want to show the love of Christ through love projects.

And now, we are equipped for the next level and it has begun.

Our trip over the pond was great. It was good to visit home. But now, sitting in the middle of the Shanghai airport, I feel like I’m home. Strange creatures us missionaries are. We miss our families when we are on the field, and we miss the field when we are with our families. But, this isn’t about us.

It’s about God. It’s about His love for people, near and far. It’s about Christ reaping the Harvest he died for. If it gets hard, who cares – Christ endured the cross and more for us. Our prayer as that we can be as our King was, on our knees, alone, bleeding, and still we can whisper, in between  sobs… “Nevertheless, not my will, but your’s be done.”

Our journey begins again. It will take us to new places, new people, new stories, and in the end we will be stronger than ever before. Pray for us, that we can represent our Saviour King well. Pray we can endure any hardships as good soldiers of Christ. Pray that in every situation we are anxious for nothing. Pray we can boldly make the mysteries of the Gospel known to those still in darkness. Pray that we can stomach whatever is slid across the table (Luke 10), that we are protected from those that plot against us (Isa. 54:17), and that wherever we find ourselves sleeping we will be content.
